Located in the Snohomish County, Washington, Granite is a beautiful city that had an estimated population of 3364 as at the 2010 census. This is according to the United States Census Bureau. This city is fondly referred to as Granite by both the residents and visitors.
History
The area that is now Granite Falls was natively used in the portaging of canoes before the arrival of the European settlers. The areas first European permanent settler was called Joseph Sous Enas. He was later followed by other numerous homesteaders who were beneficiaries of ‘the Big Burn’, a forest fire that invaded the heavily forested area. This made it easier to settle in the area. This city was incorporated in December 1903.
