Lynnwood is a city that is located in the Snohomish County, Washington. This city forms part of the Seattle Metropolitan area. As such, it is located 16 miles north of Seattle. History
Before the arrival of the American settlers, this area was used by the Snohomish tribe of Native Americans for their summer activities. These included hunting, fishing, and root cultivation. The tribe was later relocated to the Tulalip reservation and this opened the area for American-European settlement. Lynnwood was incorporated on April 14th, 1959. This was a second attempt after the first one in 1956 failed.

Out of the total, 7.84 square miles is covered by land while the rest 0.02 square miles is covered by water. The main retail and commercial corridor in the city is known as “The Lynnwood Triangle”.
