Tecumseh city is the county seat of Johnson County, Nebraska, United States. As per the 2010 census, Tecumseh had a small population of 1,677 people consisting of 447 families in 722 households.<\/p>\n

Finally, a few months after it was founded, the city was named Tecumseh after the Native American Chief who is said to have been killed by Johnson in the Battle of the Thames. In February 1857, Tecumseh was established as a county seat by the Nebraska Territorial Legislature.<\/p>\n
