Bainbridge Island City in Washington

Bainbridge refers to a city and Island which is located in the Kitsap County, Washington state in the United States of America. As of the year 2017, the city had an estimated population of 24522 people according to the American Bureau of Statistics. This makes the city the second largest city in the county of Kitsap.
History and Education
For many years, the Suquamish community occupied the region that is now Bainbridge Islandcity. Some of the early villages in this region included Battle Point, Port Madison, Lynwood Centre, Eagle Harbor, Point White, Port Blakely, Rolling Bay, Fletcher Bay, and Manzanita.In this, a US Navy Lieutenant known as Charles Wilkes came to this Island and named it after William Bainbridge, a commander of the war of 1812. This was followed by a relinquishment of a claim with respect to this city by the Suquamish tribe in 1855 after the signing of the Point Elliott Treaty. This city has since become a bedroom community of Seattle.
