Doing justice to its name (Bellevue is French for ‘Beautiful View’), this community-based town has retained its somewhat rural small town charm. There is enough greenery in the town, the residents are friendly and hospitable and the pace of life has an unhurried, laid-back feel to it. All of this must sound encouraging to someone who is considering settling down at some quieter neighborhood away from the bustle of city life, at the same time at a place which offers most of the basic qualities and amenities found in the cities. At Bellevue, you will find golf courses, several beautiful city parks with long walking and biking trails, wonderful shopping destinations and a great variety of restaurants and food joints, as well as some wonderful outdoor destinations all located within a few miles of the city.
The town is a suburb of Omaha but it doesn’t just play the second fiddle to its larger neighbor. On the contrary, the community of Bellevue comes with a distinct personality and activities of its own and offers a unique blend of the brand new and the historic that should appeal to people of all age groups and from all walks of life.
With the city government placing emphasis on construction of many new properties (a sign of the city’s growth and planned expansion), there are many wonderful homes to be had at around the town. So, if you are looking to settle permanently or in the lookout for a second residence, its time you gave Bellevue a thought.
