Bluffdale is a city in Utah, located on the western edge of Salt Lake City and its metropolitan area. The city covers 28.86 km2 of which 0.01 km2 is water. The population was 7,598 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Salt Lake City–Provo Metropolitan Statistical Area. The town’s name comes from the bluff that overlooks the valley where it stands. Bluffdale Elementary provides education for students in kindergarten and Portuguese Dual Immersion programs for grades 1-5. Charter Public available include; Summit Academy (Independence), Summit High School, North Star Academy, and Summit Academy (14400 South). Traditional Public schools include; Mountain Point Elementary, Hidden Valley Middle, Bluffdale Elementary, South Hills Middle, and Riverton High School.
