History:-
Camanche is a city which was founded in the late 1830s Dr. George Peck, who was to be buried in Camanche, Rosehill Cemetery. An intense tornado struck this city in Iowa, on the June 3 of 1860.
The tornado results in a damage path of 1,000 yards wide and 80 miles long. About 92 people were killed and 200 were injured by the tornado, while 22 (50) as per some estimates) people of Camanche lose their life and were buried in the cemetery in Camanche.
