Cody is a city located in the state of Wyoming, United States. It is the county seat of Park County. Yellowstone Regional Airport and Park County School District Number 6 serves this city.
History:
The city of Cody was founded in the 1890s and was named after an American Army scout William Frederick Cody. In 1899, a newspaper named ‘Cody Enterprise’ began to operate. In 1901, the city was incorporated. In the same year, the railroad line was opened to Cody. In 2017, the National Council for Home Safety and Security was ranked this city to be the fourth safest city in Wyoming.
