Herriman is a city in southwestern Salt Lake County, Utah, United States. The population was 21,785 as of the 2010 census. Although Herriman was a town in 2000, it has since been classified as a fifth-class city by state law.

Herriman Utah (84096-3422) is found in the southwestern part of Salt Lake County in Utah. As per the last census, which dates back to 2010, its population was 21,785 people. Herriman used to be a town but is now being put in the category of a fifth-class city by state law. Herriman officially became a city on April 19, 2001, with a total area of 20.3 square miles. Its neighbors include Riverton, South Jordan and Bluffdale.
According to the 2010 census, there were 21,785 people, 5,542 households, and 5,022 families living in Herriman. The predominate racial makeup of the city is White with 93.3% of the population white, while the rest of the population is made up of a mix of Native American, Asian, Pacific Islander, Hispanic or Latino and other races.
The 2010 census also stated that the median income of a household was $56,361 and the median income for a family was $57,404. Out of the 5,542 households in Herriman, 44.1% under the age of 18 living with them. 81.3% were married couples living together, while 6.1% had a female householder with no male present.
Herriman Utah came into existence in 1849, and was established by Robert Dansie, Thomas Jefferson Butterfield and Henry Harriman. To immortalize the people who established Herriman, a monument has been erected at the Herriman City Cemetery with their names inscribe on it. This monument is a major tourist attraction in Herriman. Other tourist attractions and points of interest in Herriman include Blackridge Reservoir, South Mountain, Black Ridge Pond, and Herriman Community Garden.
