Kaysville is a city in Davis County, Utah, United States. It is part of the Ogden–Clearfield, Utah Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 27,300 at the 2010 census, with an estimated population of 29,494 in 2014.

Located in Davis County and the State of Utah is Kaysville Utah, occupying an area of 10.5 square miles. The city was first settled in 1849 with an initial population of 548 people but as in 2010, the numbers had grown to 27,368 people. It was named for William Kay; one of the pioneer settlers who had arrived in 1847. They slowly began growing the city as a farming community then started constructing major buildings like the Kaysville Tabernacle.

Kaysville is the home of many people of different racial backgrounds including Whites, African Americans, Asians, Native Americans, Latinos and Pacific Islanders. The town being quite small and its population ever growing, its population density has risen to 2016.1 people per square mile. In the 5496 houses available, 77.6% are occupied by couples and a further 57.5% have children. 8% of the population is made up of single ladies and 5.8% by elderly people living by themselves. The ages of the population are well spread out with the median age being 25 years. For a household, the median pay is $60,383 while that of a family is $64,818. Living in this populations have been prominent people such as Rob Bishop who was a congressman, Henry Blood who severed as the 7th governor of Utah, the brains behind Soda Ice Cubes- Michael Nelson and the Will Eisner Award Hall of Fame cartoonist Floyd Gottfredson.

Clover Club potato chips, also got their initial start in Kaysville Utah starting in 1938. The first Clover Club factory was built on a 5-acre lot located on two of Kaysville’s main thoroughfares in 1947. The factory remained in use in Kaysville until being closed about 16 years ago. The Clover Club factory was one of the largest buildings in Davis County, offering hundreds of full and part time jobs.

Kaysville, which is part of the Ogden-Clearfield, Utah Metropolitan Statistical area has quite a number of attractions. They include Cherry Hill which is an amusement park, The Davis High School, the Le Conte Stewart artist Museum, the Utah Botanical Center and Kay’s Cross.
