One of the first logging centers of the Olympic Peninsula, currently the city of Port Angeles is the county seat of Clallam County, Washington. According to a 2015 estimate, the population of the city was 19,448. Eighteen miles across the Strait of Juan de Fuca from Port Angeles Harbor lies the city of Victoria, Canada. Ferry transportation from Port Angeles to Victoria is available all year round.

Surrounded at the back by snowcapped peaks of the Olympic Mountains and overlooking the strait on the north, the town is a nature lover’s delight and offers abundant opportunities for many outdoor and recreational activities.  In the summer months, the popular activities include camping, fishing, kayaking, hiking, mountain biking, skateboarding and scuba diving whereas during winter, the residents of the town and the visitors alike enjoy the sports of skiing, snowboarding, snow shoeing and more.
